We had our 20 week appointment and discovered that we’re having a baby BOY! π We’re naming him Oliver Alan Neice, Ollie for short. π They saw no issues, and he is growing normally. Thank you, Jesus! My belly is starting to grow at a fast rate, but I’ve only gained back 4 lbs. I have so much more energy but still get winded easily. I can finally eat again! Wahoo!! But I’ve noticed some foods do not settle the same anymore. π€’ I may never eat Taco Bell again. Physically, I am doing pretty good. I ache, of course. And this growing belly making things slightly awkward and uncomfortable. I’m sure that only gets worse!
We had a slight scare when the doctors office called to tell me they needed to repeat the 20 week ultrasound at 28 weeks. The lady didn’t know much info. She only said something about his hands and feet. Sitting on that stressful thought for awhile was not very fun, but I put all faith in God. We figured, hands and feet? We can handle that. I had an appointment (24 weeks) and the doctor assured me that they just didn’t get good enough pictures. They are not suspecting or curious about any issues. Again, thank you, Jesus! I can now relax until my next appointment at 28 weeks when I get to see baby Ollie again! I also will do the glucose test, and receive RhoGam shot. This means I’ll get pricked with a needle twice. Not looking forward to it. π₯΄
Right now Tim and I are trying to sort out health insurance for 2020. What a freaking mess. So far I’ve learned that once baby Ollie gets here we should save some money, but until then, SOL.
We’re finally at the fun part of the nursery renovation. Drywall is up and just about ready for pant, new windows and ceiling fan installed, and the ceiling is painted. Now it’s time to paint the walls, install the flooring, trim, then decorate/furnish!!!!! π€© Tim has done most of the work with the help of some really amazing friends. I cannot thank Tim and his friends enough for the stress they’ve taken off my plate with the renovation.
I started a new job at A&S Printing in Monroe City. I am really loving what I do and who I work with. They’re so fun and share the excitement of baby Ollie with me. Today, I am home sick. Not sure if it’s the flu or more food that didn’t settle right. Thankfully, they are also very understanding.
I am so excited for what 2020 brings my family. I feel myself growing closer to God, Tim, and myself. The pieces seem to be forming an amazing picture and I get to bask in the glory of it all.
Thanks for sharing this journey with me!
