2023 Vision Board

I finally took the plunge and invested in an iPad Pro. The new social media app Lemon8 has inspired me to use my creativity in some digital ways. I decided to start by making a 2023 vision board!

Vision boards are a great way to visualize your goals and keep yourself on track! I decided to make mine into my phone & iPad background, but many people print theirs out and hang them where they frequently see them. I saw that tons of people put them in their office. Wherever you put yours, make sure you’ll see it daily!

Apps I used – Adobe Lightroom & Canva.

The Meaning Behind My Board

Photo of my dog, Remie and I – Ever since having Oliver I have not given my pets the attention they deserve. They’ve been trained, but I did not keep up with it at home. I need to work with them, take them out in public and use the training to teach them to be more manageable. They pull so hard on the leash I can hardly take them anywhere. They don’t listen when off the leash so that option is also out. With time and discipline (for myself and them) all of our lives could be much better.

The Book – I have a goal to read 20 books this year. I’ve read 7 so far! Join me on Goodreads to stay up to date on that goal.

Weights – Tim and I have the goal we keep calling “skinny boy/girl summer.” We’d really like to work on our health and physical wellbeing. We’re waiting for Caroline to arrive before we really kickstart this task. I would love to learn more about exercise beyond running & walking. I have some serious gym anxiety due to lack of education.

Janie’s No Sugar Brand & Computer – If you’re reading this you know that I am slacking on writing. It’s been months. I feel like I have to have really powerful words in order to post on here. That thought isn’t true. Life doesn’t always have to be so dang deep. Just write!

Camera & Photo of Myself – I added this camera twice, for personal brand and boutique brand. I really want to learn more about photo quality and editing. I added the photo of myself because the day I took that photo it was simply because I felt good. I want more of those moments! I want to be prepared to be photographed at any time. This doesn’t mean professional makeup & hair 24/7. It’s the self confidence that will allow me not to shy away. Embracing who I truly am!

The Sun – I need a morning routine DESPERATELY! It’s time I start waking up before the sun is up.

Be Stronger Than Your Excuses & Enjoy The Process – 2 quotes that I really need to focus on. I am the queen of excuses & getting ahead of myself in an unhealthy way. Both of these bad habits cause me some unnecessary anxiety.

Butterfly, Rocketship & Stars – Caroline & Oliver’s room are next up on our list of DIY home renovations. These photos correspond with the themes we have chosen. I would love to complete these before the end of the summer.

Burger, Fries and an Anchor – I have completely revamped the marina restaurant! Our menu has changed to a gourmet burger bar. Seeing these photos will keep me in line with my goal to make the restaurant a big success! I do think I could give some chefs a run for their money with my Western Deluxe Burger.

Facebook & Instagram Logos – These are the two platforms of social media that I would like to learn and see the boutique grow in. I want to learn the inside and out of Meta Business in order to see our reach grow across the Midwest!

No Sugar Boutique Logo – I allowed myself to put the boutique on the backburner for too long. After the storm last summer, the boutique was the only thing running smoothly. So, it was very easy for me to step aside and let it do it’s thing. It’s time to get back in the saddle!

Clothing – I have put a lot of thought into the boutiques target market, aesthetic and marketing. This photo helps remind me to stay on track with my plans!

100k – This is a big milestone in business, hitting 100k in sales. I want to see that sooner, rather than later. Again, seeing this photo helps to keep me on track for my No Sugar Boutique goals!

Family photo & baby announcement – The top of my priority lists this year is expanding my family. We are due any minute now to welcome our sweet Caroline into the world. I am so excited to have a normal non covid, non-devastating postpartum experience. I want to make the most of it!

The Highland Cow – This is not a goal I will meet this year, but I want it to stay on my mind. I eventually want my own homestead farm. In this time of pre-farm life, I want to educate myself and learn about all thing’s hobby homesteading!

“If you change nothing, nothing will change”- Is there a better quote for goal setting?

I hope this glimpse into my personal goals inspires you to create and achieve your own!
